Our Riyadh facility: Mishkat
BAE Systems SDT boasts state-of-the-art training aids that are typically only used in government defence training facilities. We are the only commercial training company in the world to use the GenFly and IAMT training aids, which provides our students with a real-life hands-on approach to learning.
Genfly is a unique flying controls training system that provides a safe and effective environment to train mechanics and technicians on a complete range of hands-on maintenance activities for aircraft hydraulics, flying controls, landing gear and services. It covers different types of aircraft control systems from rod and bellcrank to Fly-by-wire and Active Control technologies.
The Integrated Avionics Maintenance Trainer (IAMT) is an aircraft structure with a full size cockpit, with unglazed canopy, representative of a military aircraft combining modern digital displays with older analogue gauges to enable the student to experience a range of aviation technologies.
The Synthetic Environment Procedural Trainer (SEPT) is designed to help students practice marshalling signals and ground procedures, in a safe and secure way. Presented with a large curved projector screen, the student is shown a virtual reality airport, with aircraft, ground vehicles and hazards, all to be controlled by the student’s actions.
